Season Start Dates

Distribution Details

self-serveWhere do I go?
We will be set up outside Flatbush-Tompkins Congregational Church near the corner of E. 19th and Dorchester Road. Walk about 100 feet south on E. 19th and you will see the tables with produce. We ask that all members be considerate of the church property. In particular they have asked us not to cut across the lawn, but to stay on the paved walkways.

What do I do when I get there?
Find one of the volunteers and give them your name to check off. Take one box of pre-weighed produce. Refer to the board to find out what to take of the "self-serve" produce. Be sure to pick up any "add-ons" that you paid for. Head home and enjoy the tastes of summer.

What should I bring?
Make sure to bring a box or bags with you to pick-up to carry home all of your goodies.

Volunteer Schedule and Google Group

Volunteer & Distribution Leader schedule and the google group info for 2012 will be available prior to the start of the season. We will inform you when this is available

The Ditmas Park CSA Facebook Page is another great way to stay in the loop throughout the summer! Join the group and share your thoughts, recipes, photos, and other CSA experiences this summer.

Bring Your Compost!compost-trailer

We are excited to be partnering this year with Compost for Brooklyn to collect compost. Bring your compost materials to the pick-up site during distribution hours, and there will be bins for deposit. Compost will be transported using an awesome bike trailer designed by core group member Greg Diedrich. For more information on composting and what to bring, check out What to Compost.

CSA Core Group

The CSA is evolving! A core group of volunteers is a necessary element of the CSA and has been meeting to discuss all things CSA-related, from organizing the pickup location and volunteers to managing the finances and planning CSA-related get-togethers. Among other things, the core group will be producing and distributing (via email) a weekly newsletter with recipes, news about the upcoming veggies to be delivered, and reminders about volunteers for that week's pickup. We need and encourage all CSA members to join this group to become more involved in our community CSA. Questions and comments can be directed to our new email address, ditmasparkcsa@gmail.com.
